The Poole Arms
The house menu nods emphatically towards the nearby water, with what one visitor describes as “excellent seafood at reasonable prices. The only Pub in the town not offering the usual fish-and-chip-in batter fare”. With dishes such as homemade fish pies, seafood casserole, king prawns in garlic, moulles marinier, herring roes on toast, cod, haddock and plaice fillet, and fresh dressed crab salad with minted new potatoes.
The Poole Arms also has a board with the catch of the day and is influenced by the seasons, utilising local produce as much as possible.
